
Jennifer Stephens earned an MBA from The University of Montana School of Business Administration and an undergraduate degree in Journalism from Gonzaga University. She is currently completing a certificate in Nonprofit Administration through The University of Montana’s Office of Civic Engagement. A Montana native, she left the state for five years to pursue her undergraduate degree and study on exchange in Mexico for one academic year.
Post-college, Ms. Stephens started a bilingual newsletter for the Spanish-English speaking community in Missoula which was later used as a tool by the Missoula Economic Development Corporation to determine number of potential bilingual employees in Missoula for a call center considering locating in Missoula. She interned at the Montana World Trade Center during her master’s degree writing, editing, and doing research for Montana World Trade Center business plan clients. Ms. Stephens was awarded a graduate teaching assistantship during this time and aided in research of internet use in rural areas. Post-graduation she worked as a cultural ad analyst collecting research on ad response to Toyota ads poorly received in the Chinese market.
Ms. Stephens clients at SES have benefitted from fundraising effectiveness analysis and feasibility study (Missoula Urban Demonstration Project), board meeting facilitation and fundraising brain storming (Christian Missionary Alliance/Dickey Lake Bible Camp), web content editing (Rosie Buzzas, Cornerstone Chiropractic Center, and Groundswell Media Productions), newsletter editing (Rolling Dog Ranch and Montana Web Designers & Developers Association), start up and ongoing organizational direction (Montana Web Designers & Developers Association), and marketing planning (Groundswell Media Productions).
